Even Senn writes:

Fullerton's Magoski Arts Colony, a collective of art galleries and artists' studios in a warehouse complex downtown, tackles yet another controversial and impactful topic through art – marriage equality. With help from Art with an Agenda, a not-for-profit organization that supports local visual art communities with a common purpose of furthering social justice, the colony is presenting "Love, Sex, Unity and Respect" through May 25.

Last year, their collaboration produced "The Life & Murder of Kelly Thomas," which attracted more than 1,000 visitors on opening night and received substantial coverage in print and on television, demonstrating the power of their combined artistic voice. This year, Art with an Agenda has teamed up with the galleries and artists of the Magoski Arts Colony – which includes Hibbleton Gallery, Violethour Studio & Gallery and PÄS Gallery – to raise money and awareness for OC AIDS Walk and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities in Orange County.

Art with an Agenda leader and curator Stephan Baxter and Magoski Arts Colony artist and co-curator Valerie Lewis wanted to focus on the positive and loving aspects of the LGBT community, not on the negativity and prejudice that the LGBT community has been subjected to for decades. This large and pertinent topic yielded a strong show of support in the Fullerton community, bringing more than 80 different artists with more than 100 original artworks celebrating the love and power of the LGBT population.
