Odd Sections (2002-2005)
Already objects, images of erotic models found in internet pornography are further abstracted by odd cutting and cropping that obstructs comprehension of their original form. Through this, the figures become merely a design element in the overall painting and their original context and action is veiled, leaving behind only a decorative image of flesh without narrative.
These paintings are large-scale oil on canvas or iron-on transfer and mixed-media on watercolor paper.
